RICE PAKORAS

We usually make use of the left-over rice by making lemon rice, tamarind rice etc etc..I came across this recipe of making pakoras out of it in my dear friend Meena's Blog, Homely Food. Today I tried it out and here is the recipe.

Ingredients:
Cooked rice .... 1/2 cup
Onion ............ 1/2 cup ( Finely chopped)
Besan / gram flour... 1/2 to 3/4 cup
Green chillies ....... 2 (finely chopped)
Curd / yogurt ... 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves ..... handful (Finely chopped)
Whole coriander seeds .... 1 tbsp
Baking soda .......... a pinch
Salt ................. to taste
Oil ............. to fry

Method:
1. Mix all the ingredients mentioned above adding a little water.( except oil.)
2. Heat oil in a pan.
3. Drop a spoonful of batter and fry the pakoras.
4. Serve the crispy pakoras with chutney / sauce.

Pin for later
