
Ingredients:
Dudhi .................. Cut into pieces
Tomato ............... 1 big cut into pieces
Ginger-garlic paste... 1 tbsp.
Gram flour ................. 1 tbsp.
Red chilli powder .......1 tsp.
Turmeric powder ..... 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder ..... 1 tsp.
Cumin powder ............ 1 tsp.
Oil .................................. 2tbsp
Salt to taste
For tempering:
Cumin seeds ..................... 1tsp.
Curry leaves .................... 7-8
Asafoetida ......................... a pinch
Method:
1. Heat 1 table spoon oil in a pan and saute ginger-garlic paste.
2. Add the tomato and stir fry.
3. Now add the dudhi pieces, salt and the dry masalas and saute for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add little water and let it simmer till done.
5. Meanwhile, fry the gram flour in 1 tbsp. of oil till golden brown (till you get the aroma),add 1/4 cup of water.Keep stirring to avoid lumps and add this to the curry.
6. Add the tempering.
7. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Shobha,this dudhi sabji is so yummy and healthy too :)It is a shame we do not get much of this around here,I have to buy it when I am in NJ:( BTW I was amazed that you get all the Thai herbs where you live,it makes me happy :)
I love this sabji with puris..though I don't make it more often as no one in family is a big fan but I love it..wish you were my neighbor :))
